How to send CTRL+ C to linux server and kill the process?

Hi all,

Now I want to send CTRL+C to linux server to stop the "top" command, but I don't know send what to the server. Would you give me solution? Thanks.

Hi,

 

Unfortunatly I was struggling with it myself to send either CTL + C or any other signal so it could gracefully terminate the command but unfortunately no luck there.

 

Please let me know if you find a solution for that since I have one idea which is depends on this feature to work.

Hi,

Thanks Oleg. I have not found a very good solution, just send "q" to linux server. I found that It can terminate the command .
